About the role

As Financial Control BI Analyst you will have a significant role in our close knitted Financial Controlling Team within our Product & Tech business area, also supporting Sinch Operational Finance. You will play a pivotal role in increasing business insights via improved understanding of data as well as ensuring high quality data. You will collaborate closely with the Global Finance community, Product, Analytics and Revenue and COGS team.

This role is key for the team success, and you will play an important part of the team. You will have the freedom to challenge current methods, drive ideas and initiatives that may impact the way we operate on a larger scale. You will join a passionate team that strive for constant improvements in the operational data as well as in the financial data.

This role is based in Stockholm and you will report to the Manager, Financial Control. This is a hybrid role.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify patterns and trends in the data that indicate opportunities or risks for business process improvement
  • Standardize the data analysis and automate procedures
  • Examining and certifying the accuracy of customer and supplier data
  • Review and provide accurate and timely monthly variance and cause of change analysis in volumes, revenue, and cost of goods sold
  • Report, analyze and visualize monthly results vs targets, budget and forecast
  • Find methods in how we may utilize data more efficiently and drive new initiatives

About You                                                                                                         

To be successful in the role you have excellent financial and analytical skills, with a data driven approach. You love data. You enjoy working in a fast-paced international environment and you thrive in a climate of change. You have strong customer focus and a desire to always create value for your stakeholders. This role requires you to have the ability to work independently and take full ownership of your own work as well as be a team player.

  • Proven experience in analytics and/or controlling, ideally from a complex global organization with large datasets
  • Proven experience of Snowflake, SQL, Tableau or similar tools
  • Advanced user in Excel
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance or similar
  • Fluency in English is required
