Data Analyst (PowerBI Specialist)

As a Data Analyst (PowerBI Specialist), you will be in a central position as you will be evangelising data and our methodologies to other functional analysts and other stakeholders in the company.
You will have close interaction with teams in marketing, sales, finance, and product. You will work in a high pace environment that is professional, international and entrepreneurial.

In this role, you will:

• Develop, implement, and maintain advanced Power BI reports and dashboards to visualize data, drive business insights and meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective Power BI solutions.
• Devise and execute a strategic vision for Power BI, aligning it with organizational goals and fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making.
• Lead the end-to-end implementation of Power BI solutions, from data acquisition and transformation to the creation of dynamic and impactful dashboards.
• Utilize Power BI web app to create, publish, and share reports with stakeholders, ensuring accessibility and usability.
• Design and build semantic models using Power BI Web and Desktop to provide a unified view of data for analysis and visualization.
• Optimize data models and queries for performance and scalability, ensuring efficient data analysis and visualization.
• Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data presented in dashboards and reports through validation and quality checks.
• Implement and enforce data governance policies specific to Power BI solutions.
• Provide Power BI administration support, including user management, access provisioning, and troubleshooting.
• Implement role-based access controls (RBAC) and security policies to ensure data privacy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot data-related issues and maintain the Power BI infrastructure, ensuring it's up-to-date and operating smoothly.
• Stay updated on the latest Power BI features and functionalities and proactively recommend enhancements to existing reports, dashboards, and administration processes.
• Train end-users on utilizing the dashboards and reports effectively, including interpreting data for data-driven decision-making.
• Mentor junior team members on Power BI development best practices and administration tasks.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or related field. Masters is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Power BI development, with expertise in building semantic models for data visualization.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, and Power BI Desktop.
• Extensive experience with Power BI web app and its features for report creation, publishing, and sharing.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing complex Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Experience with Power BI administration tasks, including role-based access controls and security configurations.
• Proficient in SQL
• Skills in Python, R or similar tools are a big plus
• Relevant certifications in Power BI or related technologies are a plus.
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Written and verbal proficiency in English
