We are currently seeking a data scientist for the Powertrain Data Team. This position requires a unique blend of robust system integration background and advanced data analysis capabilities. This candidate will work with internal engineering teams across the entire powertrain organization and system engineers from our manufacturer.



Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with different engineering teams from the Powertrain organization to understand their project requirements and structure the project initiatives.
  • Generate ETL/ELT data pipeline to automate data flows from test equipment to centralized data storage.
  • Leverage internal data platform built on top of AWS, S3, Spark, Trino and provide customer fleet data analysis for fleet issues.


Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in Python, SQL.
  • Strong foundation in statistics.
  • Strong background with Git, data analysis, and data modeling Python libraries.
  • Proficient in using tools such as Jupyter notebooks, Superset, Airflow, and Spark.
  • Understanding of distributed computing such as how HDFS, Spark, and Presto work.
  • Experience with DevOps tools, Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.



Nice to have:

  • Relevant experience in EV and auto industry is a plus.
  • Prior knowledge of Labview is a plus.



Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years in electrical engineering, computer science, or mechanical engineering. Master’s degree preferred.
