Your role will be crucial in unraveling complex user behaviors and navigating the intricate dynamics of the cryptocurrency ecosystem. You'll spearhead the development and refinement of pivotal north-star business metrics and elevate our reporting capabilities to new heights. Beyond traditional analytics, you will delve into the realms of meticulous statistical analysis and advanced machine learning models, all tailored to set new benchmarks in the industry.

The opportunity

  • Your analyses will inform our fraud engine rules and operations, impacting how customers transact

  • Translate complex data findings into actionable strategies that bolster our fraud prevention efforts and safeguard our customers' transactions.

  • Work closely with product, engineering, and fraud strategy/operations to spearhead projects that reduce fraud and improve health of our trading ecosystem.

  • Lead initiatives that leverage data-driven approaches to identify and mitigate fraud risks, ensuring a seamless and secure transaction experience for our users.

  • Partner with product managers to test and refine new fraud detection methods and strategies, leveraging your data skills to enhance the effectiveness of our fraud prevention measures.

  • Act as a key advisor, providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic decision-making processes related to fraud detection and prevention.

  • Utilize your expertise in data modeling and engineering to manage and analyze large datasets, identifying fraudulent patterns and trends that inform our fraud prevention strategies.

  • Advocate for the power of data analytics in enhancing our fraud detection capabilities and guiding our journey in the crypto world, ensuring that our platform remains secure and trustworthy for all users.

Skills you should HODL 

  • You have a solid understanding of the cryptocurrency ecosystem and financial markets.

  • With at least 5 years in the data analytics field, you're a pro with SQL, scripting languages (Python, R), data modeling and pipelining.

  • You have a firm grasp of statistical concepts and experience with BI software (Superset/Tableau).

  • Experienced with data warehouse development and best practices, you're also eager to learn new technologies.

  • You can simplify complex data insights for anyone to understand, whether they're tech-savvy or not.

  • Familiarity with data tools like Druid, Hadoop, Airflow, Tableau, and Superset is advantageous.

Nice-to-Haves

  • A BA/BS or MA/MS degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Data Science is preferable.
