Project: Research and develop theory and algorithms that improve state of art AI (Artificial Intelligence) techniques for applications in Generative AI, Pattern recognition, natural language processing, computer vision, and/or speech processing.

Skills You’ll Learn:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Expertise in signal processing, AI systems, and learning algorithms
• Solid understanding of AI applications such as generative AI, LLMs (large language models), Computer vision, and speech processing
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• C/C++, Python, and MATLAB coding skills, popular deep learning frameworks
• Excellence in writing technical reports and high-quality publications

What You’ll Do

• Research and develop artificial intelligence systems
• Optimize neural networks and AI algorithms for application processors
• Write computer software to develop algorithms and simulate system performance
• Research and develop novel algorithms for generative AI, speech, and vision processing
• Research and Develop methodologies for data collection and analysis
• Coordinates with other engineers and technical experts in developing machine learning algorithms to learn information from the collected data
• Prepare presentations, technical reports and patent applications that reflect the results
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned

Location:  Hybrid, working onsite at our San Diego, CA office 3 days per week with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time

What You Bring

• M.S degree or PhD candidate (preferred)
• Graduation date between December 2024 and September 2025
• Open to relocating to another country for a full-time position after your internship
• Publications in highly ranked journals and conferences
• You’re inclusive, adapting your style to the situation and diverse global norms of our people
• An avid learner, you approach challenges with curiosity and resilience, seeking data to help build understanding
• You’re collaborative, building relationships, humbly offering support and openly welcoming approaches

The pay range below is for all roles at this level across all US locations and functions. Individual pay rates depend on a number of factors—including the role’s function and location, as well as the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, education, and training.
