Team Overview
This role would be part of SCM Autonomation team in Coupang. SCM Autonomation team is responsible for building products, analytical frameworks, deep data science capabilities, and processes to provide world class solutions to our customers in term of products availability (measured as Instock) on platform and at the same time solving it at right cost to business (measured as Scrap and/or Inventory days). This team is responsible for building scalable product & analytical solutions in areas such as Forecasting, Capacity orchestration, Ordering science, Master management, Auto replenishment, Inventory placement and Vendor supply design areas. This team is a mix of people having responsibilities in Planning, Analytics (business / data), Tech (product manager & data science) area. This role belongs to planning group within team. Instock Planning sits at the nexus of business, technology, and operations processes.
Role Overview
As a Instock Planning Analyst, you will be owning and driving critical decision making across a range of ambiguous problems using data. This role will manage internal forecasting and ordering processes to deliver industry-best performance in inventory management KPIs (Out-of-stock-, inventory levels, aged inventory etc.). We are looking for candidates with strong analytical skills, an ability to dive deeply into problems in Supply Chain Management and experience working cross-functionally. Your work area involves collaboration with various stakeholders including finance, tech, export supply chain teams. You will be part of team building forecasting, ordering and inventory replenishment solutions for the rapidly growing export market. You would be managing end-to-end processes and ensuring zero out of stock for customers.
You will be structuring the data, defining constraints, parameters, and decision variables, and running simulations to optimize business outcomes and facilitate business decision making. You have a mindset that constantly challenges the status quo, and you possess a high degree of decision-making acumen. This role demands you to be very analytical, data savvy, supply chain orientation and building solutions from scratch. You should be comfortable working with unknowns and figuring out solutions.
What You Will Do
- Inventory planning involves forecasting, ordering and replenishment techniques
- Forecasting Analytics – defining KPIs and identifying improvement opportunities
- Solving Network Inventory redistribution optimization problem
- Plans and establishes ordering policy from all Retail categories, upgrades ordering system process, and establishes plans to increase system ordering accuracy
- Establish strategies to minimize out of stock (OOS), building analytics framework to drive improvement
- Designing end to end process and holding it together working with stakeholders
- Self-sufficient on writing SQL queries to fetch data and performing analysis on it
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor’s degree / master’s degree in data science / analytics
- 7-10 years of experience in Business Analytics / Data Analytics preferably in supply chain management / Inventory management / Demand planning domains
- Excellent stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
- Highly proficient in SQL, data crunching using Excel
- Business written & verbal communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in e-commerce, retail/FMCG & distribution (e.g. Discount Store, CVS) or global companies
- Experience with Supply chain / Inventory Planning / Demand & Supply Planning
