About the Role:

Hands-on Data Warehousing Manager with deep technical expertise, capability to mentor and lead other engineers, and ability to interact with business stakeholders for creating a Data Platform Strategy and implementing the solution

 

What you’ll do: 

 

·       Manage a team of data engineers, QA engineers, and business intelligence developers in the design and implementation of the Data Warehousing Solution

·       Lead the end-to-end delivery of solutions from ensuring business requirements are development ready, to ensuring consistent and high quality implementation, testing, and continuous improvement post roll out using Agile Scrum methodologies

 

What you’ll need:

 

·       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent experience in the field of software development.

·       6-8 years of experience in software programming and/or data warehousing, in an Agile Scrum environment

·       1-2 years leading a team of data engineers in a medium to large data warehousing environment

·       Experience with Databricks and SQL, and familiarity with Synapse and Power BI is required

·       Must be proficient in Multi-dimensional modeling experience, in particular design of snowflake and star schema models based on business domain definitions

·       ETL process design including techniques for addressing slowly-changing dimensions, differential fact-journaling (i.e. storage optimization for fact data), semi-additive measures and related concerns, and rolldown distributions

·       Entity-Relationship (“ER”) modeling techniques and in T-SQL 

·       SQL query optimization 

·       Power BI Dataset optimization

·       Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail as well as the ability to see the big picture

·       Strong knowledge of project tracking software like Jira

·       Strong ability to understand client expectations and to resolve issues that may affect delivery

·       Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization

·       Experience working with a distributed team

·       Entity-Relationship (“ER”) modeling techniques and in T-SQL 

·       Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail as well as the ability to see the big picture.

·       Strong knowledge of project tracking software like Jira

·       Strong ability to understand client expectations and to resolve issues that may affect delivery.

·       Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization.
