Boeing is transforming its business and adopting a data centric culture and modernizing its suite of applications. This position will drive the transformation by collaborating and working closely with businesses, functions, Application Architects, Supplier Architects/Developers, Cloud Vendor Architects and Information Technology Architects such as Security. The Lead Architect will be partnering with Company Application Architects/Developers and Supplier Architects/Developers building solutions that include system design, technology selection, solution design, process design, and execution. This position will also have the opportunity to collaborate with other common service functions, interact with the most innovative and diverse people around the globe.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Lead and Senior Level Artificial Intelligence Architect & Analysis Engineer.

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead activities to define requirements, design and verify robust architecture, data and information management systems and components

• Lead the identification of design constraints and ensures architecture conforms to requirements

• Incorporate architecture functions into software development lifecycle

• Lead the development and configuration management of architecture views and models

• Assess of feasibility of architecture solutions and alternatives

• Perform trade-off analyses

• Integrate Artificial Intelligence into product in support of overarching mission

• Analyze solutions and conduct trade studies to optimize architecture

• Evaluate products to assess suitability for integration into delivery system environments

• Draft data and information management products and service standards

• Assess impact of architectural decisions to product lifecycle

• Develop architecture and data/information management standards and strategies

• Coach and mentor others

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

• 5 or more years’ experience developing complex software applications and algorithmic solutions

• Experience with Agile program management principles

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• (Level 5) 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Masters in Aerospace Engineering, Masters in Mathematics

• Published work/Patents

• 1 or more years’ experience with web application architecture, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) or cloud based development

• 1 or more years’ experience working with Cloud native development

• 1 or more years’ experience in application integration, APIs and Microservices

• 1 or more years’ experience in an IT architect in a large-scale, hybrid cloud and on-prem environment

• 1 or more years’ experience working in the field of Artificial Intelligence including Machine Learning

Typical Education/Experience: 

(Level 4)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

(Level 5)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range (lead, level 4): 119,850 – 162,150

Summary pay range (senior, level 5): 143,650 – 194,350
