We are looking for an experienced Business System/Data Analyst - Reporting & Analytics to join our high-caliber People Systems and Analytics team. You will be a crucial part of our mission to deliver customer-centric and innovative technology solutions that create an incredible employee experience and support accelerated business growth. Our ideal candidate is someone with experience in Workday HCM Reporting & Analytics. This role will focus on People & Culture specific needs, other functional (i.e. Finance, IT, Legal/Compliance, etc…) reporting needs, assessing regional needs both inside/outside of the US, early deployment as well as in-production phases. You should have a deep appreciation for customers and a passion to deliver high quality solutions and content/insights that they will find invaluable to inform people and business decisions. To be successful in this role, you must have a deep understanding of the HR operating model, excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders across the business and strong project management skills with the ability to handle shifting priorities. You should also have a passion for Reporting & Analytics and a customer-centric mindset, like to solve problems, take initiative, pitch in when needed, and are always up for trying new things.
Must-Have Experience:
- Deep understanding of the HR Operating Model, COE areas (Talent Acquisitions, Talent Development, Total Rewards, HRBPs and Shared Services) and related business processes
- Experience with Workday HCM Reporting & Analytics including but not limited to Report Administration, Workday Studio, Dashboards, Discovery Boards, Worksheets, People Analytics, Prism and other industry-standard data platform like Snowflake and data visualization tool Tableau is a plus
What You’ll Do:
- Meet with internal and external stakeholders to define reporting requirements for people data and other organizational data maintained in Workday
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the data fields in Workday and understand functional gaps
- Provide creative solutions to prevent duplication of reports, using delivered reports, discovery boards, or consolidated reports whenever possible with a bias toward end user ease-of-use
- Monitor, audit, and maintain report schedules and report organization
- Be the subject matter expert in Workday Report Writer and Workday Report Designer
- Elevate user-experience and for internal analytics and reporting products and enable self-service through our analytics platforms and automation
- Extensively focus on scaling our internal reporting/analytics products to be more accessible, trustworthy, and easy-to-consume for all internal use cases
- Convert enhancement/emergency requests into a well-defined reporting/analytics roadmap to align with internal target to elevate data management, data strategy, and maximizing the ROI delivered through these requests
- Optimize reporting/analytics workflows and governance process to improve consistency in taxonomy and integrity of internal data, align with cross-functional technical and business teams to define consistent reporting/analytics platform requirements for data engineering and product management teams
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in an analytical or related field with 5+ years of experience implementing or supporting Workday's applications specializing in HCM Reporting & Analytics and related experience as a subject matter expert, business system/data analyst, or implementation consultant
- Experience designing and delivering custom composite reports and calculated field development, building custom reports and utilizing Advanced Reporting in Payroll, Absence and Time Tracking is a plus
- Experience supporting multiple initiatives in parallel in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize work to meet deadlines, including urgent executive-level requests
- Proven track record using data/analytics in a consultative way to inform people/business decisions and enact lasting change management
- Experience in inventing and advocating for HR-related reporting such as headcount, talent management, recruiting, attrition and workforce planning
- Ability to identify the need for, and create data standards and efficient data delivery tools and processes, in partnership with IT, Finance, and Data Engineering teams
- Skilled with Tableau, SQL, Microsoft Excel/G-Suite to create pivot tables, graphs, charts; strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate business intelligence to all levels of customers
- Excellent critical thinking skills to help solve business problems and make decisions with the tendency to pay close attention to small details that could impact results
