Job Description

Derivco South Africa is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Analyst to be part of our dynamic Data Engineering team.

Job description:

• Working with senior and executive level stakeholders to develop a understanding of multi-dimensional business problems, context, and data required to inform key strategic business decisions. 
• Advising and influencing senior stakeholder requirements with latest with broad knowledge of relevant metrics, improving strategic business insights.
• Analysing large data sets from multiple business areas and presenting meaningful, actionable insights on strategic business problems.
• Leading the development of predictive models and algorithms to support strategic decision-making.
• Identifying opportunities and utilisation of machine learning and artificial intelligence systems to enable improved data analytics.
• Presenting findings and insights to executive and senior leadership and stakeholders to drive organizational change.
• Designing visualizations, dashboards and reports which communicate meaningful, clear and actionable insights to stakeholders.

Planning & Direction

• Developing and executing a data analytics delivery plan that supports the execution of the tactical data analytics strategy.
• Serve as the technical lead on projects requiring data analytics input.

Knowledge, Practice and Continuous Improvement

• Adjustment and implementation of the team's processes, measures, tools, technology and standards according to the agreed data analytics practices.
• Recommendations to improve the practices within a team. 
• Guidance of team members and sharing of knowledge about the team's practices

Stakeholder Management

• Understanding stakeholder requirements and keep them informed about the delivery of services.
