Job Description: 

HugoBank is a trailblazer in digital banking in Pakistan, committed to delivering exceptional services and customer experiences. We are seeking passionate individuals who are specialized in developing and implementing machine learning models with a focus on Natural Language Processing (NLP) for the Transaction Categorization and Spending Pattern Analysis Engines. This involves interpreting and processing large volumes of textual data to categorize transactions and identify spending habits. 

Functions: 

• Design and deploy NLP models to understand and categorize transaction descriptions. 
• Use machine learning to analyze spending patterns and identify trends from transaction data. 
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure the seamless integration of NLP models. 
• Continuously evaluate and refine models based on new data and business needs. 

Requirements

• Programming: Proficiency in Python or R, and software development principles. 
• Machine Learning: Deep knowledge of machine learning techniques and frameworks, particularly those relevant to NLP (e.g., RNNs, LSTMs, Transformers). 
• Natural Language Processing: Strong understanding of NLP concepts (tokenization, lemmatization, named entity recognition, sentiment analysis) and experience with libraries like NLTK, SpaCy, or Hugging Face’s Transformers. 
• Data Preprocessing: Ability to clean and preprocess textual data for NLP tasks. 
• Feature Engineering: Skill in deriving meaningful features from text to improve model predictions. 
• Statistics: Background in statistics to analyze data and validate model performance. 
• Database Management: Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases for handling structured and unstructured data. 
• Data Visualization: Proficiency in data visualization tools to represent results and insights. 
• Problem-Solving: Analytical and problem-solving skills for innovative data solutions.
