Amazon Fresh Grocery is searching for a Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) who is passionate about data, analytics, science, and automation. Our team, F3 Retail Support (F3RS), seeks to Invent & Simplify solutions that increase the speed and quality of decision-making through business analysis and reporting, end to end process automation, and cloud computing infrastructure. In this role, you’ll work with leadership and US Stakeholders to find solutions to problems. You will partner with talented BIEs, Business Analysts, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Software Engineers. This role provides a unique opportunity for you to flex your traditional BI skills while stretching into a leadership scope and developing new skills for Product and Program Management.

To be successful in this role, you must have a high capacity to Learn and Be Curious adapting to the latest changes in the business, systems, tools, and techniques for extracting, processing, analyzing, modeling, and taking action on data. You will partner with Program Managers and work directly with business stakeholders to define strategy and requirements, and then lead projects from technical design through delivery.

Key job responsibilities
As a BIE on our team you will focus on exciting and challenging problems, including:
• Identify, develop, manage, and execute analyses to uncover areas of opportunity and present written business recommendations that will improve the efficiency of the processes we support.
• Design, develop, and implement scalable, automated infrastructure for data extraction, processing, computation, and delivery.
• Lead the definition and management of high quality technical roadmaps for end to end process automation.
• Learn new technology and techniques such that you can meaningfully support product and process innovation.
• Engage business stakeholders in constructive dialogues to convert business problems into logic problems that can be solved with data, statistics, and scripting.
• Work closely with data engineering, software engineering, product management, and business stakeholders to deliver features to process owners.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
- 4+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Knowledge of SQL and data warehousing concepts
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
- Proficient in Python programming language for automation of processes, and computation.
- Experience developing data/analytic solutions with cloud computing infrastructure.
- Experience creating technical roadmaps (including task prioritization , dependency managing, and deliver targets)
- Speak, write and read in English Language.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience in Retail, Consumables, and/or Supply Chain Management industry.
- Experience working with AWS products and environment (Redshift, Quicksight, EMR, EC2, S3, etc).
- Additional programming language expertise (besides Python).
- Understanding of software development life cycle and/or agile development environment with emphasis on analytical practices.
- Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma concepts.
