Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst with strong BI Dashboard knowledge, to join our People Data Analytics team. This role will bring the HR and People data to life, identify risks and trends, deliver insights to the business and provide predictive analysis that will influence and shape key people decisions for the wider organisation.

The successful candidate will work within the DACoE (Data Analytics Centre of Excellence), the internal data team for Version 1. A highly motivated and delivery-oriented team, nominated to the Version 1 Excellence Awards in the Operational Team of the year in 2023.

Role Responsibilities

  • Create effective, scalable, and easy to understand reporting solutions via Power BI.
  • Gathering and analysing data requirements, translating business requirements and design into technical solutions.
  • Manage stakeholders in relation to data solutions in the HR workspace.
  • Develop and manage the reporting capability of the Group HR Function via monthly insights reporting that will call out our highlights, emerging trends, areas of concern and predictions.
  • You will use the knowledge gained in the analysis of our HR data to become the SME that empowers our decision makers with data insights and will work closely with the relevant stakeholders to advise on prevention and/or reaction remedies.
  • Delivering insightful analysis and reporting to support management team in closely monitoring attrition levels, performance, recruitment, talent development, and other HR reporting areas.
  • Working closely with the Group HR team on reporting requirements and develop solution proposals through your expertise with Power BI and/or other dashboard tools.
  • Underpinning the above, the HR data Analyst will be part of the team that own the aggregation of data, maintain HR data quality, and influence the nature of the data we collect to take our reporting capability to the next level.

Qualifications

Desired Experience and Approach

  • Experience in Data Analytic roles.
  • Wiliness to lead small teams and projects leveraging people management skills.
  • Working knowledge of GPRD and PII (Personal Identifiable Information) in HR.
  • Strong technical capability and experience with Power BI from design through to deployment phase of project.
  • Experience using multiple data sources and data modelling.
  • Data enthusiast with a good level of business acumen acquired through previous working experience working across various business functions.
  • Natural ability to bring large datasets to life and tell a story.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Excel.
  • Previous experience of working with People related data would be desirable but not essential.
  • Working with multiple systems to extract & merge data together would be desirable but not essential.
  • Organised and able to prioritise workload.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • People focused, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Experience with Power BI
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience with Azure Cloud
  • Experience with HR and People data is a plus.

Location: This role can be delivered in a hybrid nature from one of these offices Dublin, Belfast, Birmingham, Manchester, Edinburgh or London.
