Data Engineer - MongoDB

We are looking for Data Engineers familiar with the day-to-day operations of MongoDB who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This person will work with application engineers and other data engineers to keep our operational data store stable and performing at peak.

Main Responsibilities: 

• Help maintain the current MongoDB implementation including performance and monitoring.  

• Work with application engineers and other data engineers to run daily scripts and create new indexes.  

• Stay up to date with new MongoDB functionality and be able to answer the questions of engineers as they pertain to MongoDB. 

• On call production support as necessary.  

• Maintain pipelines and jobs necessary for monitoring and alerting

Candidates Must Have: 

• Prior experience with MongoDB implementations in a production environment 

• Comfort with JavaScript and Python for scripts 

• Able to prioritize multiple requests from engineers as they arise 

• Strong cross-team communication skills 

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of microservice architecture 

• Prior experience with Terraform 

• Some knowledge of Java or Kotlin 

• Exposure to Grafana 

• Knowledge of pipeline or orchestration tools such as Airflow
