The opportunity:
In this role, you will contribute to a highly strategic and exciting Data Solutions team within Core Business Services as an Environment Lead.
 

Your key responsibilities
The role of the Environment Lead includes:

• Implementing environmental frameworks, policies, and best practices.  
• Promote consistent, reliable & streamlined release operations.
• Identifies inefficiencies to improve operational excellence and reduce costs.
• Provides clear and concise guidance to team members.
• Leveraging EY Fabric standards.
• Ensures consistency across numerous environment landscapes. 
• Selecting the best tools and systems to monitor performance and cost.
• Collating metrics and reporting information to leadership.
• Engagement with Development Operations, Service Transition and project teams to plan and understand environment usage.
• Maintaining an environment plan of availability and usage.
• Ownership of the scheduling process within the solution delivery lifecycle.
• Managing risks and clashes through engagement with project teams and Release Management.
• Managing overall environment security and access.
• Understands a complex hybrid environment. (Cloud/On Prem)

Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role you must have advanced Level knowledge in:

• Azure Cloud
• Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Azure DevOps 
• Databricks
• Delta Sharing
• PySpark
• Parquet Files
• DataWarehousing
• Extraction/Transformation/Load (ETL) Architecture and processes
• SQL
• Highly experienced in coordinating disparate team and very articulate in communications.

What we look for:

• Experience: 10 yrs + Leading onshore / offshore teams. 
• In depth knowledge of Data Lakes/Query Lakes.
• Expertise in Azure services, governance, data platforms, disaster recovery, identity management, etc.
