Data Analyst

The Role
As an Analyst on Veeva Data Cloud, you will own analyses focused on improving the quality of our data products. Data is central to the success of our products - both in quality and coverage. 
You will be responsible for analyzing data to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and quality. You will identify gaps in current data sets as well as design new attributes to continue to help customers improve their use of data. You’ll be responsible for communicating your findings, providing recommendations on any findings, and designing product and data enhancements where needed.

What You’ll Do

• Explore and derive insights from high volumes of data to evaluate data quality and extract actionable insights from the data
• Execute data querying, cleansing, and analysis
• Build expertise on the data in Veeva Data Cloud, including inbound data sources
• Exploratory analytics to find data issues and provide recommendations for fixing
• Test changes in the data (both planned and unplanned) to determine the impact on customers
• Build new attributes for both internal and customer-facing use, to continue to improve the usability of the data
• Collaborate closely with a team of Data Scientists, Product Managers, and Developers to ensure data is built and delivered with quality

Requirements

• 3+ years experience in a highly analytical and data-intensive role
• Experience with Python, SQL, and Excel
• Experience doing analytics across large sets of data
• Understand how relational databases work, and experience designing transformations, mappings, and working with reference tables
• Experience investigating data issues and working with a cross-functional team for addressing
• Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau
• Energized by working through complex problems and bringing innovation to products
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or related technical field
