GoDaddy is looking for a Principal Product Manager to join our growing Data & Analytics team. We empower over 20 million global everyday entrepreneurs by building state-of-the-art capabilities to improve and transform GoDaddy products and customer experiences. We are a dynamic, dedicated, and distributed team that revels in our work and we are seeking passionate people to contribute to our vision of giving our customers the tools, insights and the people to transform their ideas and personal initiative into success! GoDaddy product teams lead with hypothesis testing to make data-driven decisions, combining data and cutting-edge software systems, to help other GoDaddy teams provide the best experience for our customers.

Location

You’ll work remotely and have the option to work from one of our primary US-based offices (Kirkland, WA, Tempe, AZ, Cambridge, MA, San Francisco or Santa Clara, CA).

What you'll get to do...

The right person for this role strives for maximum impact on an organization and its customers, and understands how infrastructure can enable multiple teams to be successful. They understand that while scalability and abstraction can be beautiful, they only matter if they can be applied to unlock fantastic user experiences and accelerate team progress.

You'll be responsible for developing, justifying and prioritizing your roadmap with feedback from internal stakeholders and end users, market and competitive analyses, and usage analytics. You will partner with product and business stakeholders from internal teams across the company to identify high-value opportunities to use data more effectively to acquire, retain and engage customers. You will then utilize your data and machine learning background to collaborate closely with product teams, system architects, data experts, business analysts, software and data engineers, and data scientists to:

1.    Evaluate the problem space and define the opportunity (build a robust problem statement, measurable goal to achieve, identify the right sources of data, etc.)

2.    Define how to quantify output (think about measurability, establish baselines, define go/no-go metrics, etc.)

3.    Determine how data and ML capabilities will be accessed and used (through API or batch process, latency requirements, mapping of model predictions to any business rules, etc.)

4.    Spearhead end-to-end execution, deploying successful ML solutions into active use and measuring the customer impact of your work (streamline deployment pipelines, define GTM strategies, manage releases, optimize by incorporating feedback and data, etc).

Additionally, you will help to enhance the data and machine learning platforms by identifying opportunities to make those platforms more scalable, more feature-rich and wherever possible utilized in a self-service fashion. You’ll keep abreast of evolving technologies, inclusive of AWS guidelines and best practices, monitor operational cost and look for opportunities to optimize across projects and customers.

Your experience should include...

  • 7+ years of product management experience, 5+ years technical product management, 3+ years working with data platforms.
  • Experience setting vision, defining strategy, and managing a prioritized roadmap.
  • Experience designing, running, and analyzing statistical hypothesis tests.
  • Experience with writing product requirements; building and prioritizing backlogs.
  • Experience leading a high-functioning, collaborative team of engineers and data scientists.
  • Experience partnering with engineering leaders and evangelizing best practices.
  • Experience in customer/partner interaction with the ability to optimally and proactively communicate and build a trusted advisor relationship.
  • Experience in software engineering practices (Agile software development, Continuous Value Delivery, CI/CD, Service Oriented Architecture, cloud computing, and API design.)
  • Experience tracking, understanding, and acting upon changes in industry trends.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passionate, self-starter, inventive, data-driven and accountable.
  • A knack for simplicity and a love for technology.

You might also have...

  • Experience with machine learning models.
  • Experience building or leveraging data platforms.
  • Experience with marketing technology (concepts like attribution, incrementality, customer acquisition costs, customer lifetime value, etc).
  • Experience collaborating effectively with others entirely over video conferencing.

We've got your back... Enjoy our many benefits (My Wallet), including paid time off, 401k, equity grants and parental leave. Join one of our employee resource groups (Culture). Continue to have a side hustle, if you have one (we love entrepreneurs, remember?). Most importantly, come as you are and make your own way.
