The Impact You’ll Make

As a Software Engineer at Lam, you will be at the forefront of innovation by designing, developing, and troubleshooting, and debugging software programs. Your role is pivotal in developing software tools that support design, infrastructure, and technology platforms. Your expertise will determine hardware compatibility and influence design, ensuring seamless integration between software and hardware.

In this role, you’ll make an impact across Lam’s entire product portfolio of equipment working within our centralized software engineering team, collaborating with some of the brightest minds in the industry.

What You’ll Do

  • FPGA Verification Engineer with SystemVerilog and UVM experience to verify FPGA designs used in semiconductor plasma etchers.
  • Must be able to work from requirements, to design, and implement verification solutions including modeling DSP, creating and modifying UVM modes and test infrastructure.
  • Be able to model signal processing path and algorithms in MATLAB and port them to the verification environment and work with MATLAB models to create simulation stimulus.

Who We’re Looking For

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Typical 6+ years of experience in UVM based verification of FPGAs and/or ASIC and specifically, Xilinx SoC devices.
  • BS or MS Degree in Electronics/Electrical or related Engineering degree. 
  • Should have owned and setup test automation infrastructure to enable release management.
  • The position requires excellent soft skills to be part of a cross functional team, excellent written & oral communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prefer experience working on Xilinx Zynq based systems and interfacing with an application running on an RTOS at the application layer.
  • Knowledge of digital signal processing: FFT, FIR, IIR. Must be well versed in communications protocols (SPI, I2C, EtherCAT, Ethernet, RS232).

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
