Job Overview
We are seeking an innovative and technically strong data scientist with background in optimization, machine learning and statistical modelling analysis. You will be part of the Global Supply Chain Analytics team working with global stakeholders, Data Engineers, Network modelers, Visualization experts and Solution Architects to achieve our goals.
Responsibilities:
- Data Scientist will work with Data Engineers, Solution Architect and business stakeholders to build statistical models and predictive analytics use cases to support supply chain functions of demand forecast, Inventory, warehouse management and logistics.
- Primary responsibility of the Data Scientist is to be an independent contributor on the analytics team
- Should have good knowledge in quantitative analytical methods, data management and modelling techniques
- Expertise in handling tools to generate solutions
- Ability to quickly understand and translate complex business requirements to improve both operational and executive decision making
- Collaborate with key stakeholders in Governing, tracking and analysis
- Promote best practices by championing data quality, Integrity and reliability
- Must be able to effectively work with people of diverse cultural backgrounds
- Good team player, committed and work with less or no supervision; Should be self driven, highly motivated and ability to learn quick
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Overall Experience of 3 to 5 years in quantitative analysis
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with quantitative coursework
- Good Knowledge in Data querying languages (SQL, Redshift), Scripting Languages (Python) and statistical tools (R, Spark, Databricks)
- Experience in applying theoretical models in an applied environment
- Good Communication Skills
- Strong Aptitude for problem solving and ability to ideate to bring solutions to the table
