Introduction:
The Mastercard Commercial Card Platform, Smart Data, enables issuers and end corporate clients to manage their commercial card programs. It is the single-entry point to features and functions such as virtual payments, data integrations, account management, transaction reconciliation and reporting. The Commercial Platform team is responsible for delivering a best-in-class platform that meets the needs of commercial clients across the globe and delivers on our broader business objectives.

Role Title: Director Product Management (Data Strategy & Analytics)

Overview:
The Director of Product Management (Data Strategy & Analytics) will play a critical role in shaping and executing Mastercard’s Data-as-a-Service strategy, driving actionable insights, and enabling a culture of data-driven decision-making for our customers. This strategic leader will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive data analytics solutions aligned to the Commercial Solutions growth objectives. The Director of data strategy and analytics will modernize our data team’s practices while ensuring we continue to deliver mission critical analytical data assets.

Roles & Responsibilities:
• Data product strategy: Define and communicate the vision, goals, and roadmap for our data product offerings in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
• Product development: Oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle of data products, from concept to launch, including defining product requirements, managing resources, and ensuring on-time delivery.
• Data monetization: Explore opportunities to generate revenue from data products, such as through data licensing, partnerships, or the creation of data-driven subscription services.
• Market research: Conduct market analysis and stay updated on industry trends to identify opportunities and threats, and make data-driven decisions regarding product enhancements and new offerings.
• Analytics Solutions: Engage with business to understand challenges, how users are approaching these challenges, and identify analytic solutions that will support the decision-making process.
• User-centric approach: Prioritize user needs and gather feedback to shape data product features and functionality, ensuring they provide real value to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to define data product features, resolve technical issues, and drive successful product development.
• Data governance: Establish and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, compliance, and security, while adhering to industry best practices and regulations.
• Standard Product management responsibilities

• Business acumen and understanding of product development, and the ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution.

• Technical expertise and familiarity with data science techniques
