Data Analyst

Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting data to help drive informed decision-making across the organisation. Working closely with various departments to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can be used to improve business performance and support strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, clean, and analyse large datasets from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can be used to improve business performance. 
• Develop and maintain data models, reports, and dashboards to visualise and communicate key findings to stakeholders. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and data-driven decision-making. 
• Design and implement data collection systems and strategies to ensure data accuracy and integrity. 
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of data-driven initiatives (Action Plans) and provide recommendations for improvement. 
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and analytics tools. 
• Present findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, both in writing and verbally. 
• Assist in the development and implementation of data governance policies and procedures. 
• Problem spotting involves identifying the real issue at hand and using data to gain deeper insights into the business. 
• Problem scoping requires data analysts to communicate effectively with business leaders to determine the nature of the problem and how analytics can help solve it. 
• Problem shepherding involves providing regular updates and gathering feedback from the business team throughout the process, ensuring that the final deliverable is a culmination of their collaborative work. 
• Solution translating requires data analysts to present their findings in a clear and understandable manner, using simple language without compromising the complexity of the analysis. By developing these skills, data analysts can better collaborate with business leaders and contribute meaningfully to decision-making and problem-solving processes.

Key Performance Indicators 

• Weekly analysis and reporting completed.
• Weekly status reporting on Action Plans.
• Identify areas or improvement to further enhance the data to support data driven decision making.
• Continuous improvement in data cleansing.

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualisation tools such as Qlik, Tableau or Power BI.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to draw insights from complex data sets.
• A passion for turning data into actionable insights.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
