Lead GenAI Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead GenAI Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Lead GenAI Engineer at NorthBay, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing AI-driven solutions to address our clients' business challenges. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and deploy innovative AI models and applications, leveraging your expertise in LLM (Large Language Models), GenAI (Generative AI), Vector Embedding, and related technologies.

Location: Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad (Hybrid Role)
Experience: 8 to 10+ years

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8 to 10+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML development, with a focus on LLM, GenAI, and Vector Embedding.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), and natural language processing (NLP) techniques.
• Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and proficiency in related services such as SageMaker, Lambda, and S3.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully leading and mentoring technical teams.
• Experience working in a client-facing role and delivering end-to-end AI solutions from concept to production.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for leveraging AI to drive business impact.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment).
• Certifications in AI/ML, such as AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty or equivalent.
• Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and distributed computing concepts.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile development environments.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML solutions to meet client requirements.
• Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Conduct research and experimentation to enhance AI models and algorithms, focusing on LLM, GenAI, and Vector Embedding techniques.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate AI capabilities into existing systems and applications.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI/ML technologies and trends, evaluating their potential impact on our projects and solutions.
• Participate in pre-sales activities, including solution design, proposal development, and client presentations.
