The Senior Data Scientist, reporting to the Team Lead, Data Science, will play a key role in supporting Plusgrade's Data Strategy, a cornerstone of our organizational growth. As the Senior Data Scientist, they will research, develop and deploy top-tier modeling solutions across our entire partner ecosystem. They will harness data science methodologies to solve complex business challenges. They will provide guidance and collaborate with fellow data scientists to help achieve the goals of various business areas.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:• Research, design, test and implement innovative analytical solutions using complex machine learning algorithms to support the successful implementation of real-time optimal marketing offers engine.• Identify opportunities for enhancing models and targeting and offer assignments through data science methodologies.• Develop pragmatic, scalable, statistically rigorous solutions applicable across products and partners by leveraging or developing statistical and machine learning techniques.• Work with diverse data sets (partner, product, performance, 3rd party) and demonstrate the incremental value derived from data enhancements.• Continuously enhance predictive models and algorithms through research, design, testing, and learning.• Lead efforts to elevate the data science discipline by collaborating with other Data Science Team Leads on best practices, automation, and standardization of advanced analytical solutions, end-to-end modeling processes, offer assignments, and personalization. Drive execution through rapid iteration.

YOU ARE SOMEONE WITH:• Over five years of experience in researching, developing and applying machine learning algorithms• Proficiency in machine learning, big data technologies, predictive analytics, segmentation, econometric modeling, time series analysis, recommender systems, and visualization tools, with a solid grasp of data science best practices• Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with associated machine learning packages• Expertise in relational databases (SQL)• Ability to communicate and present complex ideas and analysis in a concise, business-friendly manner• Innate curiosity to solve problems and derive insights from complex data sets and customer behavior analyses• Strong business acumen to contextualize recommendations within commercial frameworks• Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or related field)
