Data Analyst

Senior Analyst, NA Service Ops Analytics 

We are building platforms to provide best in class service to our partners and this group leads the creation of solutions to drive competitive differentiation and productivity improvement for Wayfair. This group interacts closely with Product, Engineering, Data Solutions and Operations teams to perform analytics and provide visibility by building reporting solutions, visibility tools, self-serve analytics capabilities and dashboards for the operations organization. 

What You'll Do 

• Partner with internal customers (e.g. Inventory and Integration, Account Ops, First Mile, Middle Mile, Final Mile, Order Processing, Fraud, Credit Recovery) to identify the most impactful ways for data and analytics to drive decision making and accelerate profitable growth 
• Comprehend and extract information from large data sources to deliver business insights and recommendations, while maintaining internal databases 
• Become the subject matter expert for data and analytics within the business unit to ensure accurate and proper interpretation of core business metrics and consumer behavior 
• Perform deep-dive analysis, including the application of advanced analytical techniques, to solve some of the more critical and complex business problems around supply chain optimization 
• Develop data visualizations, including reports, dashboards, and analysis using Business Intelligence solutions to distribute data insights in an easily digestible manner ● Mentor and guide analysts in the team and help build a strong team 

What You'll Need 

• Experience in analytics, business intelligence, data science or engineering role performing quantitative analysis 
• Proficient knowledge of Python (esp. API Calls), SQL (incl. Aggregate functions, joins, etc.) or other structured programming language(s) (e.g. Java, C) 
• Hands-on experience conducting quantitative analyses on large data sets. Experience with Advanced Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, macros, embedding queries, refreshable dynamic reports etc.) 
• Hands-on experience with dashboarding. Familiarity with Data Studio and Looker is a plus. 
• Analytical, creative, and innovative approach to solving problems 
• Strong written and verbal communication 
• BA/BS or Masters in Computer Science, Economics, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or other quantitative discipline field with strong academic record ● Experience with RDBMS, Big data technology, OLAP technologies 
• Experience with Python, Java, C++ 
• Experience working in supply chain operations is a plus
