About the team
You will build a small but mighty team that that will own the front room of the data warehouse. The front room consists of facts and dimensions spread over multiple data marts. This team will be part of the Data Science & Engineering group and you will report to the VP Data Science & Engineering. You will have a mix of data scientists, business intelligence developers and data engineers reporting to you. 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• build the next of iteration of our data warehouse
• empower the business to make better decisions daily
• not just model data, you will model the business
• lay the foundations for operations analytics
• explore the promise of business process modelling

We're looking for someone who

• has built diverse data engineering / BI teams over the past 5+ years.
• has in-depth knowledge of data warehouse methodologies such as Inmon, Kimball and datavault.
• has a strong affinity with financial data, perhaps you have a side-hustle.
• has in-depth knowledge of Redshift, Oracle and one more data warehouse technology: either Presto, Hive, Vertica or Snowflake.
• has managed complex software engineering projects that involve many stakeholders and touches core business processes.
• is someone who can excite and motivate people to embark on a long journey.
• keeps the eye on the ball but is very pragmatic in delivering incremental progress.
• is up-to-date with modern data warehouse technologies such as change data capture, dbt, datavault and activity modeling in order to ask the right questions.
• has a proven track record of shipping BI projects / data marts into production.
• has a consistent track record of positive culture & design choices
