About the Role
Paperspace is looking for a Data Analyst to join our growing company! You will be the first analyst hire and are expected to take full ownership of building and maintaining our analytics pipeline. The successful candidate will turn data into information, information into insight, and insight into business decisions. We are big believers in product-led growth which necessitates having a unified view into all user activity across all touch-points, and this role will play an integral role in this strategy. You will report to our Co-Founder and COO. 
What You'll Do
• Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems• Mine data and analytics at the customer level to gain a better understanding of their usage behaviors, including impacts of current marketing strategies• Choose the accurate metrics for tracking and understanding current and future experiments• Develop dashboards that provide reliable insights and visualization into user and channel performance relative to performance indicators, projections, and historical performance• Implement and analyze A/B or multivariate tests to provide measurable insights to the marketing team on the test data• Present findings to senior management to drive business and marketing decisions• Work closely with leadership across the company in marketing, sales, engineering, and other teams on a variety of strategic initiatives to drive impactful business outcomes
What We’re Looking For
• 3+ years of relevant business experience solving analytical problems, specifically within marketing analytics• Excellent data visualization skills. Experience working with a Postgres database and/or BigQuery data warehouse• Proficiency in SQL and are comfortable with data modeling• Experience building production-ready data pipelines and Python models• Understanding of how to best visualize data to unlock insights and enable better decisions• Comfort with ambiguity and lack of structure where you can (and have to) build a lot from scratch• Experience with subscriptions and lifetime value (LTV) modeling and prediction• Experience setting up A/B testing methodologies, particularly with non-binomial success criteria• A love of data - you just go get the data you need and turn it into an insightful story! You know how to convert data into decisions without getting stuck in paralysis by analysis
Example Projects 
• Connect eCommerce and revenue data to calculate LTV (revenue data is currently sent to Segment). To calculate not only conversions (signups) of our various marketing efforts but also how much these various audiences spend to understand their true value.• Incorporate CRM, chatbot, email marketing tool, NPS, and support ticketing activity • Combine user in-app events from Segment with website visitorsOur Team
