About the role...

We are looking for a Data Engineer to be part of our newly formed FP&A’s digital transformation, reporting and analysis team in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. This role reports to the Director of FP&A Digitization, Reporting and Analysis. This opportunity is ideal for someone who has a strong background in the development of the data architecture- flow ETL & conceptual, logical, and physical data models, the implementation of data marts, and data lakes on target platform (SQL/No SQL).

In this role you can expect to...

• Oversee and govern the expansion of existing data architecture and the optimization of data query performance via best practices. The candidate must be able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Develop best practices for data structure to ensure consistency within the system

You may be a good fit for our team if you have...

• Overall experience of 5 yrs+ migrating & building data from RDMS to snowflake data warehouse. 
• Experience on 2 end-to-end implementation of data warehouse (on cloud).
• Well versed with best practices on components of data journey (ingestion, storage & analytics).
• Fair work experience in any of the market standard Data modelling tools like Erwin Data modeler, Lucid chart etc.
• Hands on experience of data engineering piece in both areas of - ETL & Data warehousing on platform like Snowflake, AWS (Redshift, S3). Experience of 2 yrs.+ on Snowflake preferred.
• Hands on experience on snowflake utilities- snow SQL, Snow pipe etc. In addition, expertise on at least opensource ETL tool- Talend etc.
• Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, SQL, Scala, Spark-
• SQL etc.
• Advance SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
• Developing scalable and re-usable frameworks for ingesting of geospatial data sets.
• Exposure to data analytics in finance subject area preferred- P&L, Expense analytics, sales etc.
• Fair knowledge of data structure and experience on ETL set up for system like Coupa, salesforce, workday, Anaplan, ERP etc.
