Job Description
- Define, support, and advance research in both robust and reliable AI methods with applications in perception tasks, and in foundation models.
- Develop and implement novel methods on real-world data. Publish results of research at leading AI conferences.
- Take responsibility for providing strategic and technical competence in high priority AI fields within Bosch (e.g. machine learning /deep learning, robustness, validation, representation learning, signal processing, optimization). Engage with the AI community: continually strengthen Bosch‘s network with academia and other top-tier research labs, e.g. via publications, conference attendance, and invited talks.
- Develop the next generation of AI scientists: mentor MSc and PhD students within our extensive internship and PostDoc programs, as well as other researchers across our organization.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or Machine Learning / Statistics.
- 2+ years experience with deep learning frameworks, e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX.
- 2 + years programming experience using Python
Preferred Qualifications
- Broad knowledge of machine learning algorithms and principles, with a deep understanding in at least one specific area of expertise.
- Established publication record in machine learning or related field.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000 - $150,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. Your Recruiter can share more details about the specific salary range for this position during the interview process.
