Telemetry is a foundational requirement for a Cloud business to understand user behavior and develop better product. As part of the Product Telemetry Platform program, Talend is putting in place a reliable and robust central telemetry data service to develop internal data-driven analytics and smart customer facing applications or features.​As part of that team, we are looking to hire a Data Engineer.His/her mission is to design, develop and extend data extraction and integration processes between Talend Cloud systems and Data Science/Analytics.Skills and activities:
-        Software Engineering o   Hands-on experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, Scala. o   Confident with code documentation and versioning (GitHub), application packaging as artifact (JAR) and portable image (Docker). o   Collaborate with the team to improve automation of workflows, code packaging, testing and deployment.
-        Data integration o   Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with AWS RDS (PostgreSQL) and DWH (Snowflake). o   Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets and experience working with document DB (MongoDB), DynamoDB. o   Hands-on experience building and optimising big data pipelines, architectures and data sets. o   Understanding of data integration patterns (CDC, ETL, ELT, SCD)

-        Data processing o   Ability to identify, design, and implement internal process improvements such as automating manual processes and optimising data delivery. o   Apply efficient and fault-tolerant methodologies (partitioning, asynchronous processing, distributed computing, parallelisation). o   Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable ‘big data’ data stores. o   Experience with Machine learning algorithm deployment
Experience level and attitude:
-        4+ years of experience in a Data Engineer role-        Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.-        Experience working in agile development methodologies-        Interested by digital Transformation, data Science/Analytics and data Governance.
Language knowledge:-        English (Professional).
Nice to have:-        Experience with Kubernetes-        Experience with supporting CI/CD pipelines-        Experience with Spark-        Experience with other leading commercial Cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure
