The Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Team at Tarte helps drive the company’s strategy and operations. We’re looking for a Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to drive initiatives that guide decision making for the business. You will have an opportunity to shape the company’s growing data culture.

 

Responsibilities

  • Run ETL process (collect, process, and clean data) from multiple data sources using Excel, SQL, and other BI tools to investigate key business trends, issues, and opportunities
  • Develop scalable analytical solutions such as tables, datasets, models, and databases
  • Create and develop sales and expense dashboards by collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Build ad-hoc analysis to help the business understand key value drivers and growth opportunities
  • Manage external consultants in driving initiatives (i.e. specs, test plans)
  • Effectively communicate actionable insights across all levels to inform efforts

 

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in math, statistics, engineering, computer science or other quantitative major
  • 4+ years of experience in a BI/analytics role with strong cross functional business collaboration
  • Must have strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Must have experience in writing complex SQL queries
  • Must have experience with MSSQL/MYSQL (or equivalent) databases with knowledge of database architecture
  • Experience in BI visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, and SAP Analytics Cloud is a plus
  • You’re someone who can initiate and drive complex analysis to completion with some guidance. Can synthesize and communicate insights
  • You’re motivated to work hard and efficiently in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment
  • You enjoy working with others to help drive not just your own, but others’ goals
