About the Role
As a Senior Data Scientist with Loyalty, Partnership & Monetisation group, you will support various pods within all markets that Gojek operates in. This role will report to the Head of Data -  Loyalty Partnership and Monetisation (HoD LPM). You are expected to drive data (science & analytics) strategies across LPM and to improve technical excellence of data professionals within LPM group. In addition to this, this role is expected to be a thought partner for Gojek’s leaders in all things Engagement, Monetisation, and Loyalty domains within Gojek. As a self-starter, you will do this by collaborating with other departments across Gojek to solve some of the most challenging business problems across different product verticals, and directly shape the future of the team and the business. 

What You Will Do

  • Be the thought leader in the Engagement, Loyalty, and Monetisation science and analytic space; pushing how we use the data to help companies with strategic decisions. Armed with strong domain and understanding and technical data skills, you are expected to be a thought-partner for Gojek’s leaders on those domains. 
  • Oversee experiments, analysis, and post-activity evaluations to deliver customer insights and drive strategic recommendations for optimisations. Create a quantitative framework which can be used to scale the data solutions within the domains. 
  • Drive new needle moving initiatives within LPM groups and make sure that is executed timely end-to-end. In the incubation phase of these initiatives, expect to be hands-on as well; in general ensuring that the initiatives have all what it needs to move forward. 

What You Will Need

  • 8 years of relevant experience with solid understanding of Data Science and Machine Learning fundamentals, taking Data Science models into production.
  • This experience should include experience with managing at least a small size team and being a part of decision making of strategic science & analytics road-maps in a company
  • Experience in Python, R, Golang/Java, Unix; along with knowledge of good software design principles and TDD
  • Working knowledge of Cloud-based solutions (GCP/ AWS), Stream Data Processing Frameworks (Beam) and mature Deep Learning frameworks (Tensorflow/ Pytorch, etc)
  • Proven experience in understanding Business needs, formulating Data Science solutions to solve business problems
  • Experience in working with relational and non-relational databases
  • Ability to write clear, concise technical documentation
About the Team
Loyalty, Incentives, and Monetization (LPM) Data team is distributed across Indonesia, Singapore, and India. The team helps various pods in engagement & monetisation topics within Gojek. Various teams within LPM group (among others) are CRM, Promo and Incentive Tools, GoClub (Gojek’s loyalty program). In addition to this, the team works very closely with the following teams outside LPM group: product strategy & planning teams, digital marketing, and consumer platform (care, home page, etc.). An example of a problem that we solve includes designing an efficient loyalty program and the best data driven communication channels for our users. Should you have a question about which incentives to offer our customers to keep them engaged in the platform, we are your people! Currently, our team has been busy working on Machine Learning based voucher allocations, which will help Gojek to grow in efficient and scalable manners by recommending which incentives to offer our customers at the right time.We are a tight-knit group made up of crypto-enthusiasts, national badminton champion, youtubers, and movie fanatics!. We work hard and play hard, and believe it or not, we actually enjoy each other’s company!
