Mission

Capture data and deliver insights that drive step-changes in business performance

As a data analyst, you’ll be part of a central data team supporting a range of merchant-, end-user- and internal-facing product teams. We provide centralised event-tracking infrastructure, analysis and insights for these teams and the broader organisation. The data you collect and the insights you generate will directly influence leadership decisions about the direction of the organisation and of products or initiatives within it.

Responsibilities

  1. Identify growth drivers for the organisation
    • Develop deep understanding of the behavioural and transactional data generated by merchants
    • Understand our target user personas and the likely behaviour differences
    • Create a set of hypotheses for investigations into, for example, driving up user retention and engagement or addressing user churn
    • Validate these hypotheses with product, marketing, operations and other stakeholders
    • Perform exploratory or deep-dive analysis to test these hypotheses
    • Translate analytical output into findings for the organisation
  2. Drive action from analytical findings
    • Recommend changes to business processes based on analytical output
    • Develop value proofs for these proposed changes 
    • Build personalised segmentation strategies to enable user targeting and experiences based on these users attributes
    • Work with relevant teams across the organisation to conduct experiments based on your analysis and solutions
    • Conduct post-implementation reviews to ensure solutions deliver on requirements
  3. Do whatever it takes to make Xendit succeed

You may be a good fit if you

  • Have 3-5 years working experience in business intelligence, marketing analytics, customer retention, cohort analysis or related fields
  • You thrive on autonomy and have proven you can push towards a goal by yourself
  • Ask inquisitive questions to get to the underlying cause of a problem
  • Pick up new skills quickly using a combination of reading and self-exploration
  • Prioritise communicating early and often, preferring to iterate on the concepts before diving into the detailed implementation
  • You communicate well across teams
  • You have intermediate or better SQL skills
  • It is advantageous if you
    • Have basic Python, R or similar skills
    • Have used Looker and Databricks before
    • Have experience using and speaking the language of APIs
    • Are familiar with A/B testing and statistical assessment of experiments
