Today, ATB Ventures is a team of engineers, data scientists, product managers, and business operators who having been building emerging solutions from scratch - including Open ATB> Open AI, Open Data, API Sandbox, Oliu (Self-Sovereign Digital ID platform), Proof (Digital credential wallet) and more.

We're looking for an Innovation Data Scientist who is a thought leader and dreamer in the area of AI and Data technologies, and understands the trends in these technologies in order to explore new ideas and horizons for impactful, creative opportunities.

Summary of key responsibilities | What you will be responsible for day-to-day...

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify new horizons, explore and ideate on impactful opportunities.
• Work with other team members in Design Sprints focused on proving out concepts and building prototypes. Further investigate an idea by creating respective hypotheses, and designing analytical methods to test the hypotheses.
• Provide technical mentorship to other team members and take a lead when necessary to drive the team through execution.
• Research and analyze data to find deep relations within data to be used in the AI/ML algorithms.
• Participate in code reviews, pair-programming, and other activities to promote mastery of data science practices.
• Design and develop Data and AI products, and work with software engineers to bring these products to life. Leveraging open source before seeking proprietary solutions.
• Research and analyze disparate and big data to unearth new patterns and recommend opportunities.

Requirements

Helpful skills & experience | What we're looking for in the ideal candidate...

• BSc in Engineering or Computer Science is required (an MSc or PhD degree in Engineering or Computer Science would be desirable)
• 8+ years of relevant experience in Data Science
• Experience in designing and building data and AI products
• Strong mathematical, statistical and analytical skills
• Experience working and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams
• Experience in design and implementation of AI/ML algorithms to solve complex problem
• Knowledge of data science methods and applications, such as Deep learning, GANs, machine vision, natural language processing, predictive analytics, time series analysis, optimization, anomaly detection, reinforcement learning, among others
• Demonstrate strong programming skills with R, Python, and solid experience with related ML/AI packages such as Pandas, Numpy, Tensorflow, Pytorch, Keras, Natural Language Processing
• Experience in a wide range of industries is highly desirable (industries such as health care, digital credentials, supply chain, transportation, finance, manufacturing, quantum computing, etc)
• Demonstrate a continuous learning mentality
• Strong communication skills: verbal, written and presentation.
• Excellent prototyping skills are required; also, solid knowledge of data mining and SQL, is desirable
• Cloud experience in GCP is preferred; alternatively, experience in AWS, Azure, or IBM Cloud is also desirable
