The RoleOptimus Ride vehicles and systems generate large volumes of rich, complex data. The Data Engineering team works to make these data available to the rest of the company.  We also conduct and support analytics work on these data to monitor and improve the performance of our autonomous driving software.  We are looking for software engineers who are excited by the challenge of implementing and orchestrating complex dataflows and can also collaborate with other teams on analytics work.

Responsibilities

  • Support and improve infrastructure for handling vehicle data
  • Design and implement cloud-based architectures for data ingest and analysis
  • Collaborate with other teams on analytics work
  • Test, debug, and maintain production-quality code

Requirements

  • BS in computer science or a related field
  • Strong software engineering skills
  • 2+ years experience writing production-quality code in Python
  • Experience with data ingest or ETL pipelines
  • Experience in Cloud deployment (e.g., GCP/Azure/AWS and Docker)
  • Interest and ability to learn additional skills and technologies as required

Bonus

  • Experience with databases and SQL
  • Experience with orchestration frameworks (e.g. Airflow)
  • Experience with statistical analysis
  • Experience writing production-quality code in C++
  • Experience with data and network security
  • Experience in software quality assurance / testing
