About the Team

The Data Science team is responsible for delivering machine learning solutions in the supply and demand space for verticals such as Retail, CPG, Life Sciences etc. This includes problems in the space of forecasting, optimization, replenishment, explainability, and more. Our data scientists enjoy breaking down complex business problems into technical requirements, doing the research to come up with effective solutions, and working with the engineering teams to implement the new features into the product.  

We are looking for passionate technical data science manager to join our talented team, lead a fantastic group of data scientists to build products that leverage machine learning to solve real world business problems.  

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with product, engineering and other R&D teams to build meaningful product features 
• Perform people management activities such as career conversations, reviews, 1-1s, etc 
• Support building the vision and roadmap for the data science team 
• Plan, design, and manage the various R&D activities within the team 
• Be hands-on as needed if anyone on the team needs support in the project they are working on 

What we are looking for

• Ph.D. or Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer science or a related field with a focus in machine learning 
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in applied machine learning 
• Experience with people management 
• Knowledgeable in Python (pandas, numpy, sklearn) 
• Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms 
• Comfortable with Linux environments 

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP or Azure) 
• Experience in retail or supply chain industries (or forecasting)
