Full Stack Web Developer - Computer Vision

Team Description: Our computer vision team is a leader in the creation of cutting-edge algorithms and software for automated image and video analysis. We understand the difficulties in extracting, interpreting, and utilizing information across images, video, metadata, and text, and we recognize the need for robust, affordable solutions.  We seek to advance the fields of computer vision and deep learning through research and development and through collaborative projects that build on our open source software platform, the Kitware Image and Video Exploitation and Retrieval (KWIVER) toolkit.

In This Position You Will:

• Contribute your web development skills to develop complex web applications that enhance the novel computer vision solutions we are providing our customers.  
• Collaborate with Ph.D. researchers and software engineers in areas of 3D reconstruction, object-based change detection, feature detection, motion pattern learning, and anomaly detection

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area, plus 3-5 years experience in web development, preferably in a technical/software industry, or equivalent amount of education and experience
• Strong knowledge of the modern browser programming environment, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/ECMAScript
• Proficiency with modern JavaScript application frameworks such as React or Vue.js
• Back-end service programming in Python
• Knowledge of HTTP and related standards such as REST
• Experience with quality software process tools and methodologies, such as Git, continuous integration, and automated testing
• Experience designing and building software solutions from the ground up based on business requirements
• Due to contractual restrictions, only candidates that are US Persons (citizens, permanent residents, asylees or refugees) will be considered for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Database Management Systems (DBMS) desirable but not required
