Senior DBA (Big Data)

The Role
A Database Administrator to be the owner for all databases that are part of our Connected Data scope. Such as - Hadoop, AWS Glue, ElasticSearch, relational DB and document-oriented DB.You will be part of the growing InfraOps group in Kiryat Ono and work closely with R&D, Data Architecture and will report to the Director of DevOps in NY.

What You’ll Do

• Architect, deploy and maintain the Elastic environment Help lead the conversation on design understanding the architectural trade-offs including Scalability, Resiliency, High Availability and Security Perform capacity planning and solution review Collaborate with multiple teams to manage the solution
• Take an active part in the decision-making group to decide on future technologies and platforms, data structures etc.
• Provision, maintain and improve the use of the following platforms: ElasticSearch, EMR, SPARK, MySQL/PostgresSQL.
• Make sure performance is maximized.
• Design and build multi-tenant solutions Deploy and test out new technologies
• Optimize and tune the Elastic environment to meet the performance requirements.

Requirements

• Knowledge in modern data platforms and data lake concepts, including those technologies such as AWS Lake Formation, Athena, Glue, Redshift spectrum, EMR
• 5 years of experience in working on AWS platforms.
• Expertise in relational and non-relational databases.
• Proven ability to communicate and document in Hebrew and English

• Java code writing
• Experience in a data-driven company
