The Who, What, Why and Where

 Twilio is growing rapidly and seeking a Data Analyst to be a key member of the Messaging organization in San Francisco, CA. At Twilio, our mission is to power the future of communications. We believe that communications should be a part of every product experience. To help us on our journey, we’re seeking a talented Data Analyst to execute against this vision. This position reports to the Director of Product Operations, and will support Product Managers across Messaging.

Who?

Twilio is looking for a Data Analyst who lives the Twilio Magic and has a demonstrated track record of success. Candidates for this position should also have experience sourcing and integrating data from multiple backend data sources, developing business intelligence dashboards, and working with stakeholders across large organizations. They also have:

  • 5+ years experience in a data analyst role
  • 5+ years experience writing complex SQL statements
  • 5+ years experience working with tools like Looker, Tableau, Hive, Presto, Kibana, etc.
  • Track record of making recommendations based on data analysis
  • Superb communication skills
  • Technical ability to understand software and recognize areas of product integration, discuss product roadmaps, and engage with product managers
  • Technically savvy and experience with the cloud, APIs, communications, enterprise software, devices, and mobility
  • Experience with statistical analysis in Python or R is a plus
  • Experience with AI/ML is a plus

As a Data Analyst on the Messaging team, you will:

  • Work directly with business leaders (directors, product managers, and engineering managers) to define and build the datasets, reports, dashboards they need to run their product organizations
  • Build and launch robust data processing pipelines and integrations, while simultaneously optimizing for performance and stakeholder requirements
  • Investigate complex product and operational issues, design experiments, and make recommendations
