Machine Learning Engineer - Reinforcement Learning

STR is applying state-of-the-art autonomy algorithms to complex, real-world problems where traditional methods are insufficient. As a Machine Learning Engineer – Reinforcement Learning, you will create, implement, and evaluate state-of-the-art reinforcement learning algorithms to solve a diverse set of autonomy problems, including strategic command and control, small platform navigation, and multi-platform swarm control. In this role, you will be responsible for working within a small team setting to develop novel algorithms, create software infrastructure to build training environments, train agents, and deploy solutions to customer systems. You will work with our customers to understand requirements, develop innovative solutions and present those solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- BS or similar in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Understanding and experience in technical areas related to Reinforcement Learning, Machine Learning or Controls
- Experience with Python
- Demonstrated experience creating control policies using RL, ML or Controls
- Comfortable communicating technical ideas to technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to work well in a team environment
Even Better:
- MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Previous experience with robotics systems and/or applying autonomy algorithms to real-world problems
- Experience with C++, CUDA and/or C#
- Familiarity with NVIDIA Jetson processors
- Experience using commercial game engines
