Lyft is hiring a  Financial Data Analyst for its Finance & Accounting team. The candidate in this position will work closely with Product, Engineering, Finance and Operations teams to help build reliable financial data pipelines and provide visibility into key financial metrics. They’ll design, coordinate, and implement new financial data architectures to create a scalable and flexible reporting environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Work cross-functionally (Product, Engineering, Finance) to shape how Lyft financial data can be leveraged to support reporting needs from across the organization
  • Perform complex analyses on Lyft’s wealth of data to influence leadership decision making and drive the strategic direction of the business
  • Build automated reporting pipelines to provide a single source of truth for teams to utilize across the organization
  • Develop compelling dashboards that inform key stakeholders on the health of the business
  • Effectively and proactively communicate insights and requirements to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Triage data quality issues, and assist in building out data validation tools/services to proactively flag issues before they arise
Experience:
  • BA/BS in Statistics, Math, Economics, Business, Engineering, or Computer Science preferred
  • Proficiency in SQL with 2+ years of experience working with large data sets
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate and influence effectively across various departments
  • A drive to understand the core issues and determination to uncover the solution
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Extremely detail oriented and highly organized
  • Experience with Github, Terminal, various DBMSs, and Airflow a plus
