The North American Loss Prevention LEAP Team is seeking a Program Analyst, throughout the Americas to design, develop and manage world-class reporting and analytics that serve and support the Amazon Loss Prevention team, including data interpretation, trending analysis, and overall department initiatives. In this position, you will research data and develop tools in various systems to support Loss Prevention initiatives. You will need to interact extensively with cross-functional groups such as database engineering, operations teams, software developers and management. Excellent listening, writing, verbal communication skills, and strong technical competency are essential. You will build and deliver on-time database platforms and proper integration with other applications and systems through effective web based development. You must possess strong leadership skills, be detail-oriented, a quick decision maker, work with data, and have a passion for getting things right. You must have a desire to drive permanent removal of defects, and ensure highest quality of service is provided in an efficient, effective, and proactive manner.

Key Responsibilities Include:
· Technical expert in the use of data mining, scoping and building of web and excel based reports and analytics for use by the Loss Prevention team
· Use of data visualization software to develop dashboards, metric tracking and trends against department goals
· Meeting deliverable time frames set by LP leadership, that support business goals in collaboration with the product management team and stakeholders
· Monitor and report potential crises, and have flexibility to think critically and problem solve
· Respond to tickets and requests for support from our internal customers, prioritizing based on demand and impact
· Track and report on metrics which are key performance indicators, allowing performance improvements so that the desired outcomes are achieved to plan and in a timely manner
· Subject matter expert on all related technical projects for Loss Prevention
· Ensure all programs comply with Amazon InfoSec standards
· Ability to root cause problems and independently iterate solutions
· Up to 20% travel

Basic Qualifications


· 2+ years Microsoft Excel
· 2+ years working with large data sets
· 2+ years SQL experience (querying and analyzing) for the purpose of developing dashboards, providing data analysis and metrics for customers
· 3+ years’ experience with Exception Based Reporting and the use of analytics to report and provide visibility to trends, through data visualization or reporting deep dives
· Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or 5+ years relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience in presenting accurate, concise and detailed reporting to leadership verbally and in writing
· Experience using business analysis reporting tools like Amazon Quicksite or Tableau and data visualization tools is greatly preferred
· Experience creating and driving quality metrics for operational excellence
· Ability to coordinate with a cross-functional team to design and implement analytical systems and drive the adoption of core products & tools
· Ability to develop data-driven recommendations that align with Amazon leadership principles and core values
· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, negotiate, resolve problems, and develop relationships at all levels of the organization
· Ability to work independently with limited direction, communicate effectively with team members in disparate geographic location
· Experience creating and driving quality metrics for operational excellence
· Analytical leader experienced in performance based, action and results oriented management, project manager and effective problem-solver
· Experience in implementing operational automation using scripts
· Ability to take calculated risks and challenge current practices to develop and deliver innovative solutions to meet or exceed the customer expectations
