ICEYE is the first commercial organization in the world to successfully launch miniaturized synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellites. We are seeking a Geospatial Data Analyst to join the Solutions organization within ICEYE. The Solutions team’s mission is to democratize the data produced by our satellites and other sensors. Our initial area of focus is natural catastrophe use cases as they relate to both the insurance industry and the government sector. The work we do helps families when they are most in need and will eventually save lives.

As the Geospatial Data Analyst in the Solutions organization, you will work closely with the Solutions Architect to help scale our data acquisition, sales support, and solution innovation efforts.

This role is based in Espoo, Finland.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute data search and evaluation efforts for spatial, meteorological, and other relevant data
  • Work with team members to design and run geospatial analytics workflows
  • Collaborate with Analytics Team members to build and maintain geospatial databases
  • Compile analysis results in clear, concise reports and presentations

Your attributes:

  • Education in GIS, remote sensing, or other closely related field
  • Passionate about the geospatial sciences and excited to explore new data and methods
  • At least one year of experience executing geospatial analyses used to drive practical decisions
  • Energized by a “test and learn”, highly dynamic environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Extra Credit Attributes:

  • Experience with remote sensing, especially synthetic aperture radar
  • Experience with natural catastrophe analytics
  • Experience in the insurance industry
