Graduate theses: biosignal processing and physiological data analysis

We are now looking for three master thesis workers capable of data collection, biosignal processing and physiological data analysis. The positions do not include at this point employment relationship, but instead a lump sum is paid in two installments.

This role is for someone that must be based in Finland. Our offices are located in Oulu Teknologiakylä and in Helsinki city center.

What You will do:

• Plan a data collection process, ensure the devices and collect data from volunteers
• Develop biosignal processing methods and algorithms
• Report the conducted experiments and findings written and orally

Requirements

We would love to have You, if You have:

• At least 180 ects in related area (average grade over 3.0 (good))
• Knowledge of human physiology and its measurement, eagerness to measure yourself also
• Signal processing, signal fusion, filtering and time series analysis skills, especially from ppg based solutions
• Programming experience in Matlab and/or Python
• Problem solving ability, out-of-the-box thinking, capability to prioritize and schedule challenging entities
• Good communication and team work skills
• Ability to present results in an easily understandable way
• Self-driven and forward-looking attitude
• Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken
