Spotify is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to join our Content Platform.
In Content Platform, we believe that by combining multiple sources of metadata, extracting information from the audio signal, and using our entire user community, we can be in a unique position to have the richest and most accurate catalog of audio in the world.  By deriving reliable, rich knowledge from data, we can improve our economics, improve our UX, and build a foundation for our teams to build new products.

You will run experiments, build data pipelines and design ML models to help Spotify understand and organise our catalogue. Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences music.

What you'll do

  • Work in a high-performance, autonomous team of engineers and collaborate with researchers, designers and product managers across Spotify
  • Build audio processing pipelines in Python and data pipelines in Java
  • Take operational responsibility for the services that are owned by your team
  • Design and run experiments at scale, and communicate their results and importance to key stakeholders
  • Work in an environment that supports your individual growth by providing you challenging tasks to solve and the time needed to acquire new skills

Who you are

  • You have a Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in computer science, machine learning, mathematics or related quantitative field, or you have extensive industry experience
  • You have experience implementing and maintaining production machine learning systems at scale
  • You have experience writing Python code and using TensorFlow (or similar libraries such as PyTorch or Theano)
  • You are passionate about writing high-quality code
  • You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • We are a distributed workforce enabling our band members to find a work mode best for them! Where in the world? For this role, it can be within the EMEA region in which we have a work location.
