We're looking for a talented and passionate Senior Data Engineer, to join Wildlife's Creatives Manager team in São Paulo, Brazil. 

 

As a data engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, building and maintaining a creatives data warehouse that consolidates the different types of information generated by the squads in the Creatives Area. The infrastructure you'll create will multiply the value generated by the other squads by simplifying their work and making it easier to make data oriented decisions. You'll work in an engineering team composed of software and data engineers with the focus of leveraging the work done by engineers and data scientists from the other squads.

 

The Creatives Tools area main goal is to empower and enable the artists and business analysts from the Marketing Art and User Acquisition departments to do their work faster and better, making our games reach the next billion people. We'll need you to understand both our systems and the business, in order to identify needs and opportunities together with our clients and your team and to deliver secure, resilient systems with great usability and performance.

What you'll do
  • Be part of a cross-functional team, directly contributing to feature development and maintenance;
  • Work proactively and closely with data scientists, software engineers and product to improve our creatives recommendation pipeline;
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve data quality and performance issues. Being proactive in identifying issues will be key for your success;
  • Fully understand the challenges of working with and analyzing data, empowering both data scientists and software engineers;
  • Advocate for data engineering best practices inside the team;

 

What you'll need
  • University degree in courses related to computing such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field;
  • Excellent Software Engineering skills with at least 3 years of experience, of which at least 1-year experience as a Machine Learning Engineer, Data Scientist, or Data Engineer;
  • A sound understanding of data structures, and algorithms;
  • Real-world experience with data modeling and experience building, deploying and serving data pipelines.
