MISSIONS
Data is the core of ManoMano’s business: you want to live an extraordinary experience in a start-up in a hyper-growth phase and create a sophisticated data architecture for a European company? 
We are building a unique technological platform and looking for a highly technical, hands-on and mission-driven Head of Data Factory, to lead the team in charge of building an advanced data infrastructure on which all the company will relly.
The scope of Data Factory is split in 4 areas: - Ingest: Integrate all data coming for internal (ManoMano Platform) and external data (Analytic, Third parties) sources. Managing an architecture to ingest in real time (or low latency) an important volume of data and using state of the art technology (event driven with Kafka, …).- Compute & Store:  All data is stored in our data lake and warehouse (Snowflake). The Data factory has to guarantee availability and security of our data.- Expose: Our data is consumed by internal and external customers. Our objective is to provide an on demand data platform. BI Team will be a support team for building reports and dashboards for our clients.- Govern: The data factory has guaranteed the quality of the data and animate the governance at the company level.
As such, the Data Factory is split into 4 different sub-teams to transform RAW Data into information and then knowledge: Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Tracking & Data Governance.
Your missions, varied and exciting will be (non exhaustive):
- Design an efficient and robust architecture for storing and making accessible terabytes of data, in a context of hyper-growth.- Identify the data needs of different teams and designing systems to respond especially when launching new projects.- Recruit the best Data, BI & tracking engineers and train your own teams.- Collaborate with Data Scientists to create advanced data applications.- Be a mentor for less experimented engineers.- Consolidate and move our current Data platform and pipelining to the highest standards in the Industry.- Teach and mentor stakeholders to make them autonomous in Data manipulation.- Setup and industrialise a strong Data governance targeting quality and autonomy.- Be a Data ambassador and build bridges between functional architecture, Product, Business and operational teams.
REQUIREMENTS
For this strategic position, we are looking for a person with a solid and proven experience in Data architectures and strong leadership.
- 10+ years relevant experience as Data Engineer or other related position.- A passion for data ecosystems and technology in general: active technical watch, technical blogging or even contributing to open source software is a big plus.- An experience in designing, shipping and maintaining of large scale data platforms and interfaces with multiple dependencies across teams.- An ability to work effectively with databases: SQL / NoSQL is necessary.- A Solid experience on how to build and manage  a data lake and datamart.- A solid experience with distributed systems such as Spark, Flink, Kafka, is a big plus.- A knowledge of the services of Amazon AWS or any other public cloud is required.- An experience with Qlick or another Data Visualisation tool and how to manage BI processes.- An understanding of the stakes of the company and a pragmatic approach to problems, to create tools that are reliable and quickly usable.- A talent for clearly communicating complex concepts to non-technical audiences.- A smart but humble personality, with a bias for action.What we can offer you at ManoMano :- Fast growing start-up environment;- international & agile company;- sponsorings to external conferences - organisation of internal and external Meetups;- crafternoons every Thursday afternoon (share your knowledges, learn from others);- 35 holidays; - 3 days a week work from home:- parenthhod:- attractive salary (package).
