The Amazon Advertising Global Sales Operations team seeks a Business Analyst to support sales process optimization and technology transformation initiatives. You will work across ad sales, partner teams, analytics, technology, enablement, and training teams to unpack the process, develop metrics, simplify processes, and design tools for scaling the sales team. You will be responsible for defining business requirements, user stories, features and functions to be user centric and create tangible solutions, tools, and dashboards. You will lead design thinking workshops, understand the process, capture pain points, conduct root cause analysis, and document key action items and requirements. You will translate these business needs into detailed functional requirements, gain alignment with stakeholders, and work closely with the development team to meet acceptance criteria. You will own the execution plan, with responsibility to communicate status, challenges, and decision points on a weekly and monthly basis. You will track changes, address data inconsistencies and write supporting documentation.

Expertise in agile, design thinking, project management, lean, and data analysis is required with a demonstrated track record of delivering tools and solutions from inception to delivery. Ability to dive deep, invent & simplify, and deliver results are critical leadership principles to be successful in this role. Ability to partner with Sales teams and collaborate across Sales Operations and other Advertising teams is imperative to deliver project objectives.

Key Objectives:
· Plan, organize, and lead focus group sessions and workshops to understand the customer journey and document current and future state processes.
· Conduct process and data analysis to deep dive into sales pain points, conduct root cause analysis, and develop innovative and simple solutions to solve business challenges.
· Document functional requirements for each user story, features, and screens, organized into EPICS for assessing story points/resourcing, and sprint planning.
· Coordinate and lead internal meetings with tech teams to ensure the requirements are understood, highlight potential risks, and identify path to green in partnership with key program owners.
· Lead tactical execution of key initiatives building and managing road map to achieve the process and transformation goals. Be able to execute multiple projects simultaneously.
· Develop and provide right metrics to measure process efficiency, project tracking, user adoption, etc.
· Be able to envision a future state and define business requirements for the design of process(es), tools, and analytics, to solve business challenges and achieving higher standards of user experience.
· Serve as change agent with strong credibility and influence the design and development of tools and solutions.

Locations:
This position can work from Los Angeles or New York City locations.

Basic Qualifications


Basic qualifications
· 7+ years of experience in business, process, and data analysis.
· 7+ years of experience in project or program management.
· 7+ years of experience delivering tools and solutions, working with tech and non-tech teams.
· 7+ years of experience in developing business requirements documents (BRD), version control to manage changes, and defining and tracking acceptance criteria.
· Experience in user communication, reporting, and tracking.
· Experience improving process(es), tools, and visualization to drive efficiency and user experience.
· Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel (look-ups & pivot tables).

Preferred Qualifications

· 10+ years of business analysis, data analysis, reporting and program management experience.
· 10+ years of experience partnering with stakeholders to collect requirements and develop quantitative and qualitative analysis to solve business problems.
· 10+ years of demonstrated project management skills, including managing multiple projects or programs at once in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
· Demonstrated ability to engage and influence executive leadership.
· Excellent written composition and verbal communication skills.
· Prior experience working in sales or sales operations.
· Experience with business intelligence and data visualization and reporting tools (e.g. Tableau).
· Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL, Visual Basic or other programming languages.
