As our new Data Scientist, you will become a member of an analytical Liquidity Intelligence team that is responsible for providing insights on marketplace health, growth and opportunities. You will also apply a wide range of data science and analytical methods as well as create models to explore complex relationships of liquidity drivers.  
Liquidity Intelligence team acts as a knowledge hub for all Data Scientists within Liquidity Domain. You would be expected to become an expert in the area to be able to create best analytical practices and mentor more junior colleagues.  
Examples of future tasks: assessing lister quality via sell-through rate modelling, estimating what effect international content gives to buyer retention.

In this position, you will:

  • Create and own data analyses, outline problems, set hypotheses and present insights to various stakeholders (mainly directors in Liquidity domain, product owners, top management at Vinted)
  • Create models to explore complex relationships of liquidity drivers
  • Estimate and track opportunities and risks
  • Support the team on ad hoc questions with analyses
  • Select and track the most important KPIs on liquidity and its drivers Join forces with your colleagues to update and improve our reporting system 
  • Share best practices for analytical workflows across domain
  • Author data pipelines via Spark- and Scala-based ETL framework

You should be:

  • Highly business-result-oriented and comfortable with iterative processes
  • Able to extract, transform and interpret data, empathise with our users, connect user needs and behavioral indicators to business results 
  • Have 5+ years of analytical/data science work experienceHave at least 1 year working experience with R, Python or another similar language
  • Excellent at communicating in English
  • Have a degree in statistics, mathematics, economics or similar field
  • Experience in online marketplaces is an asset

Please note that this position is based in Vilnius. 
The salary range for this position is 3700-5550 Eur GROSS / month.
