At the core of what we do is our focus on leveraging data and hypothesis driven decision making to drive future growth and increase the joy that our members receive from our service. We are seeking a talented and creative data scientist to lead experimentation, analysis and modeling projects in the growth and pricing space using experimentation (A/B, quasi) and causal inference studies. Your statistical analysis, interpretation of results and modeling will inform decisions affecting millions of users, with a direct tie to Netflix revenue.

What you will do:
- Partner closely with Product Management leadership to design and analyze experiments that drive key product decisions
- Proactively perform data exploration on user behavior to discover future testing opportunities
- Lead the research and development of new experimentation methods and predictive modeling techniques that could sharpen or speed up decision making and move key metrics (example from Netflix Research)
- Present your research, including metric development and measurement methodologies to all levels of the company, including executive level, clearly and concisely
- Serve as a strategic partner to define high impact analytical problems and find innovative ways to solve these problems via data, machine learning solutions and experimentation
What mix of skills you have:
- You have strong statistical knowledge and intuition - ideally used in A/B testing, observational studies or other forms of causal inference
- You have expertise in data wrangling and Big Data technologies (SQL, Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Presto etc.)
- You have strong quantitative programming skills in Python or R, familiarity with collaborative development environment
- You have the ability to write ad-hoc data pipelines and ETLs for self-use
- You have a quantitative educational background
