Sr Big Data Engineer - Loan Services Firm

Project Description

A leading Loan Services firm in the US is looking for a Big Data Engineer to join a growing team to work on a web application that improves correspondent lending system. This person will responsible for the technical design, initial development, and major revision of business intelligence applications, machine learning models, and supporting infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be a senior level contributor & specialist
• Define product requirements and create high-level architectural specifications, ensuring feasibility and functionality, and integration with existing systems and platforms 
• Ensure flexibility of solutions while working with adopted business intelligence software (Tableau, Snowflake.net) 
• Complete hands-on coding and proactively mentor developers 
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned
• Demonstrate behaviors that are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant work experience
• Extensive experience with Python 
• Extensive experience with OOP design 
• Understanding of machine learning methodologies 
• Experience with Python Machine Learning Libraries (scikit-learn, numpy, pandas, nltk) 
• Significant experience with the AWS stack and be familiar with server-less architecture 
• Experience with cloud-based data warehousing solutions 
• Experience with relational databases (MySql & SQL Server)
